The trade fair duo registered its best results in its history in February of this year. This good trend shall be continued with the next iteration of the Intec and Z. From March 7 to 10, 2017, Leipzig's Exhibition Center will once again become the central platform for the production technologies for metal processing and the key venue for the supply industry. Registration as exhibitor for the next Intec and Z is now open.

"We are very proud of the success that our well established international trade fairs - the Intec and Z enjoyed this year," explains Markus Geisenberger, Managing Director of Leipziger Messe. In February, 1,433 exhibitors from 33 countries were on hand to present their new and innovative products and entire range of services. The interesting portfolio attracted 23,500 visitors from more than 35 countries to Leipzig's exhibition center. That helped the trade fair duo achieve the best results in their history.

"We can leverage this as a good starting point to prepare for the next iteration of the trade fair combination. Our successful combination of the Intec und Z will once again be the first important industry venue for Germany's and Europe's metal processing industry and supply industry in 2017," Geisenberger adds. The trade fair combination will be further developed in terms of quality while retaining the proven concept

Those responsible for development strive to further the quality of the Intec and Z and take into account the technological trends: As a result, both trade fairs focus more and more on subject areas like light-weight construction, Industry 4.0, automation, resource-efficient production and additive manufacturing. These areas play a key role especially in the specialized program with conferences, conventions, forums, special exhibits and international workshops.

The proven concept of the Intec and Z shall also be retained: "The Intec and Z cover the entire process and customer chain in production. The joint key branches include machinery and plant construction, tool construction and vehicle industry. Exhibitors and visitors both profit from the resulting synergy effects," says Project Director Kersten Bunke, highlighting the advantages of the Intec and Z.

The Intec is one of the leading trade fairs for machine tools, manufacturing and automation technology in Germany and Europe. Its core areas include machine tools, systems for upstream and downstream processes in automated production as well as the complete production technologies for metal processing. The Z, the exhibitors of which are primarily suppliers of low and middle-tier production stages, focuses on industrial supplies for parts, components and modules as well as technological processes as services.
